This is the personal blog of Ryan Damm, an SF Bay Area technologist and filmmaker (LinkedIn profile). I've been writing for UploadVR lately, you can find my articles here.
The title of the site refers to the intermittent motion device that advances film in a cinema camera. At least, the non-digital variety. It also refers to my tendency to get distracted from creative projects by creative technical projects — so the motion pictures are a little bit intermittent.
That's okay, it keeps me busy.

(Oh, and if you're curious about the banner image — it's a map of the least-significant byte in a spatial algorithm for removing distortion from a fisheye lens. A Peleng 8mm, specifically.)
